What's it to us - to think of the eternal?
A shout makes us think about the instant,
and in the instant it all becomes eternal.

Bedtime fairy-tales
remain inside the language
And kisses yet unseen
will open into flowers.
It will be easier to trade all your dreams
for money - cold and empty;
A struggle to stay here on the river
and swim out to the Sea.

Life's load will be lighter
without the things of Earth.
Rid of mortal selves
we'll gain our freedom?
Men will end their talking,
talking words,
We'll forget about the fire
and see the water?

And rivers seen at night
remain inside your dreams,
but kisses yet unseen
will open into flowers.
Understanding the eternal
will be so clear and simple,
and our tears will dry
as silver strings.
